Some of the principal activities of the HBCU Faculty Network are:

1. Promotion of conference categories within individual HBCU's and collaborative efforts among HBCUs
2. Development of needs assessment questionnaires
3. Creation of a resource booklet listing HBCU faculty resource persons
4. Facilitation of a faculty exchange network for semester exchanges and short term visits
5. Continuing expansion of the network to include UNCF and public HBCU's
6. Expansion of Board of Directors
7. Development of proposals for additional funding for future projects
